Ruth Fraga-Benavidez was born and raised in a small border town named Eagle Pass, Texas also sometimes referred to as “Little Mexico.” She went on to study at the University of Texas at San Antonio, where she earned her degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. Shortly after, she moved back to her home town where she became the Auditory Impairment Teacher for the district and owner of a violin studio for the subsequent ten years. Somewhere in between, she fell in love with a seasoned IT professional- married and became an instant mother to her stepchild then bore a daughter shortly after. Ruth and her husband Rudy, moved to San Antonio, Texas to, be closer to family and expand their opportunities. Ruth became a Teacher for Linguistically Supported Special Education students soon after.

Eager to make friends in the big city, she attended a “Shampoo Wine and Wash” party she was invited to by co-workers. It is here where she first discovered the #1 premium hair company in the world that would change her life forever! Ruth originally bought the products to help a friend starting the business and never thought something else would come of it. She used her shampoo and skincare products religiously and has not looked back to use anything else since. Her once lifeless, flat, and dull hair became healthy and voluminous with this regimen. Her dry and aging face became soft and glowing. Through Monat, she regained the confidence she once lost and was convinced that she needed to help others become the best version of themselves too.
